Hot Head
Giant
"Hey, I'm on fire!"
"Hey, I'm on fire!"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hot Head had always been a short tempered fire giant. But it was when magical oil was discovered in Skylands that fuel was really added to the fire. As exciting as the discovery was, the celebration lasted only 5 minutes - coming to an abrupt halt when Hot Head needed to cool off and plunged into the thick black pool, causing the entire island to explode! Though it would be another 2,000 years before magical oil was discovered again, the impact that it had on Hot Head was immediate. He was instantly infused with magical oil, giving him the ability to generate an infinite supply of fuel - making him incredibly volatile, highly combustible, and ready to torch anything that got in his way.

Overview 4/5: Hot Head's design is ordinarily creative. It showcases him holding his hands upwards showing off his ability to emit flames from his palms. His figure shows emaculate detail as most skylander figures do. Overall, the figure is great and a good one to add to the collection.
Paint 3/5: Hot Head's paint varies from good to bad. When you look at the end of his hands, the paint layers from the arm's red to am orange bar and then it ends in a yellow bar. This could have been blended together to make it look more gradual of a color change, it's not a big deal just a minor nit pick.
Sculpt 4/5: The sculpt is chalk full of nice detail. The parts of him that are suppose to be lava or cooled magma have cracks running through and usually end in a cracked broken look (i.e. the end of each limb) which again, has relatively gppd detail but there is no paint in the cracks to make them stand out. His hands and head are emitting transparent orange flames similar material to the fire element's base. He also has a black fire element insignia etched into his back, which is a nice detail usually shared with the giants.
Gimmick (Lightcore) 2/5: Out if all the giants figures, Hot Head has the worst lightcore feature. This is mostly due to the fact that his hands do not light up. The only flames that do illuminate is the flame in his head. This particular flame effect is extremely small and basically worthless to light up. Why his giant hands with giant fire effects didn't light up is unknown, but it may have been due to the wiring required for the light up feature being to difficult to go into the arms and hands. But… we'll never know.
Gimmick (Giant) 4/5: Hot Head, when compared to the other giants figures, seems to be one of the largest of the bunch. He definitely feels like a powerhouse even before he enters the game.
