"Burn to be Wild!"

Raised on a small island surrounded by a vast ocean of fire, Fire Kraken was the swiftest, most agile warrior his tribe had ever seen. And when a fleet of Fire Troll ships arrived to steal the legendary Burning Heart, a huge elemental crystal that fueled the fiery seas, Fire Kraken leapt into action. Using a magical staff to control his natural ability to wield fire, he set the mighty ships ablaze, forcing the trolls into a hasty retreat. Having saved the Burning Heart as well as his homeland, Fire Kraken soon joined the Skylanders, where he knew his skills would help those in need.

Overview 5/5: Fire Kraken is one of the new swap force characters in the more recent Skylander Swap Force game. Fire Kraken, despite other nods to different animals, styles, and techniques is most undoubtedly a dragon, to be more precise an eastern dragon. Fire Kraken comes with a lot of different colors that mesh together with the fine detail and comical pose for a very interesting character.
Paint 4/5: The colors chosen for Fire Kraken are varied as they are bright. However, they all mix together and result in a surprisingly well put together paint scheme. His base skin color is yellow, his scales going down his tail and his fingers and toes are all a brick red color as well as his eyebrows, lips and mouth. One of the more questionable color choices is the light blue used for the feathery crest atop his head, this added blue color does fit in well with the red and yellow, though. He has a black hilt to his baton that has transparent fire effects flickering out each end. He wears a red belt with a dark blue t-shirt. He also dawns coppery gold gauntlets and thigh guards. The paint application is good and my copy has no scuffs or over application of paint. Under Fire Kraken's arms, there are obvious straps attached to his gold gauntlets. These straps have no paint application whatsoever when they should have been painted gold like the gauntlets so…
Sculpt 4/5: Fire Kraken has a lot of detail. His golden gauntlets and thigh guards look like they have been embroidered and outlined with rivets and the like. The feathery crest on his head has each and every feather outline. His scales also are each individual from each other scale.
Gimmick (Swapability) 4/5: The only gimmick given for this character his ability for his top half to split via magnetic connection from the bottom half. This gimmick is the same as all the other swap force characters and doesn't need much mentioning. His bottom half does look good with most other top halves of other characters though and fits in well.
